Conditioning

CONDITIONING immediately following your shampoo, use
about a tablespoon or more of conditioner and gently distribute
it into the hair with a wide toothed rubber comb. Gently ease
the conditioner through the hair from root to end. Hair is at its’
weakest while it is wet. If you comb the hair while wet, be
careful not to break or damage it. For deeper conditioning
wrap a warm towel or a conditioning cap around the head for a
few minutes. Conditioners counteract the effects on hair of
fluoride and other chemicals added to our water supplies.
Conditioners also negate the electrical charge, which causes
clean hair to be static and unmanageable. In addition,
conditioners make hair feel smoother, look shinier and protects
it from damage inflicted when grooming. Conditioning makes
hair bouncier and heavier with more body. Conditioning
smoothes hair making it easier to manage and less likely to
suffer damage.

THICKENING the hair is part of the conditioning process.
Each time you shampoo, protein and panthenol in your
conditioner strengthens, thickens, adds body and protects the
hair. This is highly recommended if you perm or color so that
your hair will become softer rather than brittle following a
chemical process.

DEEP CONDITIONING follows a shampoo and is
recommended for hair that is damaged, brittle or needs to look
smoother. After you towel dry apply the conditioner and cover
head with a warm, wet towel or a conditioning cap. Leave on
for 10 to 15 minutes then rinse thoroughly.

INSTANT CONDITIONING is rinsed into the hair after each
shampoo then is rinsed out. An instant conditioner helps hair to
be more tangle resistant, thus making it easier to comb and less
likely to suffer breakage.
